How we review

Clear sources. Better decisions.

How we review

Visible sources

Read the official sources behind each decision.

Clear conditions

See which circumstances change the answer.

Honest limits

Missing information stays visible.

Evidence status

United States / Connectivity

Carrier roaming and travel eSIMs solve different problems.

Our US research now includes first-hand success and failure patterns. Carrier terms still need checking before we make a provider-level recommendation.

How we review

United Kingdom / Payments

A card that works in Tokyo may still fail at a local booking gate.

We separate Japan-side acceptance from UK card and authentication rules. Direct UK post-trip evidence is still limited, so the gap stays visible.

How we review

France / Evidence status

Market-specific traveller evidence is still being classified.

French-language demand is part of the research scope. We will not publish a country-specific provider verdict until the source set and official terms support it.

How we review

Germany / Evidence status

Market-specific traveller evidence is still being classified.

German-language demand is part of the research scope. We will not reuse an English-market conclusion as a German recommendation without checking the relevant terms.

Before you book
Do I need a rental car in Okinawa?

Not always. Naha works well with rail and taxis, and one fixed northern sightseeing route can work by direct bus or tour. A car becomes more useful for a suburban hotel, several scattered stops, children, luggage, heat or frequent showers.

Can a tourist get a Japanese number for ticket verification?

Sometimes, but many travel eSIMs are data-only and some ticket services restrict the numbers they accept. Check the event's official overseas route before buying a SIM only for verification.

Are affiliate links allowed to change a verdict?

No. Eligibility, safety, cancellation conditions and the option we would skip are shown before any commercial link. Affiliate links are labelled when they appear.
