Publisher and responsibility
A real editorial owner, without an invented public persona.
Japan, Booked. is an owner-operated travel guidance project edited from Japan. One owner-editor is accountable for source selection, traveller-facing conclusions, updates and corrections across every maintained guide.
The public identity is currently the publisher. A personal name, portrait, start year, language level or external credential will be added only after the owner explicitly approves each fact. We do not create a biography to make the site look more established than it is.
Current evidence footprint
What the site can show today
Japanese-language sources
Claim-level records include operator pages, official help, timetables, public data and first-party destination guidance.
English-language sources
English routes are checked separately so the guide can show where the visitor-facing version omits a rule or detail.
French-language sources
French official travel guidance is recorded in its published language rather than relabelled as English evidence.
German-language sources
German official travel guidance is checked separately when a market-specific recommendation changes the decision.
Mixed-language sources
Bilingual timetables and Japanese pages with English stop names remain labelled as mixed evidence.
Shared accountability
Every maintained decision guide names the publisher, source scope, review date, next review and public change history.
What responsibility means
The editor owns the decision, not just the links
Official sources establish rules and current facts. The owner-editor is responsible for explaining how those facts affect an international traveller, marking uncertainty and correcting the guide when the evidence changes.
Community photos, public social links and reader reports remain private leads until they are independently reviewed. Approval in the private queue never publishes a contribution automatically.
Read the full review method, inspect the guide review schedule, or send a correction or current lead.
