An autumn start in Nishitanzawa, with lunch before a cottage stay
Haruru was heading back to a campsite after some time away, this time with a group of eight and a cottage stay ahead. She wrote after shopping and lunch, while waiting to check in. Clear autumn weather and colourful leaves added to her excitement, and the handmade-soba restaurant left her wanting to return on the way home. Her photographs also record autumn colours at Lake Tanzawa and the gate and wooden interiors of Tanzawa Lake Memorial Hall.

A cottage stay ahead for a group of eight
This time the plan was a cottage stay, with eight people in the group. Haruru was looking forward to returning to a campsite. One photograph carries the words “ウエルキャンプ西丹沢” and “本日も晴天” above a wooden building with a reception sign.
Before the check-in time she mentioned in her caption, the group shopped at a supermarket and had lunch. Afterwards, she bought fresh vegetables at a roadside station. When she wrote, she was still waiting to check in, enjoying the clear autumn weather and looking forward to the one-night stay.
A lunch stop she wanted to visit again
Lunch before check-in was at a handmade-soba restaurant. Haruru enjoyed the stop enough to want to return on the journey home. The entrance photograph shows a curtain bearing 手打, 信玄そば and あずまや.
She also photographed the tendon ordered by someone in her group. An enthusiastic comment about its taste accompanies the image, and the tempura caught her attention too.
Inside, framed photographs fill a wall and black pots hang in a row. Alongside the food, she kept a glimpse of the restaurant itself.
Autumn colours in the Lake Tanzawa photographs
One lake photograph carries the words “丹沢湖” and a comment about the beautiful autumn leaves. Red foliage fills the foreground, with water, surrounding mountains and blue sky beyond. It gives a concrete view of the autumn weather and colours Haruru enjoyed in her caption.
Another photograph brings red and yellow-brown leaves together, while a further view gives much of the frame to the sky above the mountains and water. The photographs keep both the autumn foliage and the day’s bright sky in view.
A memorial-hall gate and objects from everyday life
The gate beside the autumn leaves reads “丹沢湖記念館,” with a short sightseeing note added to the photograph. An exterior view draws attention to the thick thatched roof and wooden tubs arranged beneath the eaves.
The interior photographs show tatami, shoji, heavy beams and a sunken hearth. A large object in another room is labelled “大火鉢,” a large hibachi. On the display shelves, labels including “木槌,” “土瓶,” “米櫃” and “米袋” can be read. Alongside the lake views, these photographs preserve a closer look at household objects.
