Reopen the operator page for your date and choose an earlier return when a flight, connection or fixed hotel check-in would make the final run unsafe.

Two adults staying near Prefectural Office station, travelling on a weekday after 15 October 2026 (Shuttle #17 and #22 suspended until 31 January 2027). The bus stop for the aquarium is Kinen Koen Mae, about a 10-minute walk from the entrance. Aquarium admission is ¥2,180 per adult (¥710 for ages 6–15 in elementary or junior high school; under 6 free). Off-season hours are 8:30–18:30, last entry 17:30.

Verdict: Plan B gives the most time for the money. Plan A is the fastest each way, and you can use the two-ride tickets on a later airport journey. Plan C costs ¥3,480 more but is the only one that leaves from Naha Bus Terminal. On route 117 you pay when you get off, by cash, OKICA or a contactless card on buses with the sticker; Suica is not accepted.
Going straight to the airport for a 20:30 flight
You want to be at the airport by about 18:30. The latest returns that make it are:
- Shuttle #16, 15:30 → airport 17:28
- Route 117, 16:12 → airport 18:28 (domestic stop)
- Yanbaru Express, 16:15 → airport 18:50
Shuttle #18 (16:00 → 18:58) and the last Yanbaru Express (17:15 → 19:45) are too tight for that flight. Shuttle #20 (17:00) ends at Asahibashi and doesn't reach the airport.

On Yanbaru Express, pay when you board, for the whole group at once, by cash, card, QR or e-money, but not OKICA. On route 117, pay when you get off by cash, OKICA or a contactless card on buses with the sticker; Suica and other national IC cards don't work.
Can I take children, a stroller or luggage on the Churaumi bus?
Yes. On the Shuttle and Yanbaru Express, elementary-school children pay half the adult fare, and a child under 6 on a lap rides free; the Shuttle charges the child fare for a 1–5-year-old in their own seat, and its two-ride ticket has no child version. Fold strollers before boarding. Express buses can't carry standing passengers, so on a busy day board at the first stop. The Shuttle takes up to two bags per person in its hold (30 kg in total), and Yanbaru Express asks you to load large bags into the trunk yourself.
