USJ Super Nintendo World timed entry: app, same-day and sold-out plan
Understand how Super Nintendo World timed entry differs from a USJ Studio Pass, how the official app is used, and what changes when same-day capacity runs out.
Short answer
A USJ Studio Pass gets you into the park, but it does not automatically guarantee entry to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD. USJ says an Area Timed Entry Ticket: Advance Booking, a same-day Area Timed Entry Ticket, or a Standby Entry Ticket may be required. From 5 January 2026, the official app is required to obtain same-day Area Timed Entry and Standby Entry tickets.
Separate park admission from SUPER NINTENDO WORLD area entry
Treat the Studio Pass and the area-entry requirement as two different checks. Some Express Pass products include advance area-entry timing, while the same-day route is handled after park entry.
Register the whole party in the official app before requesting same-day entry
USJ instructs guests to register the valid park admission tickets for the party before obtaining Timed Entry eTickets. The latest app is required, internet access is needed, and same-day Timed Entry eTickets are available only from inside the park.
Capacity can close the same-day route
USJ states that Timed Entry eTickets stop being available after capacity is reached and their availability can change without notice. A sold-out same-day slot does not invalidate the Studio Pass; it changes the plan for entering that area.
Do not delete the app after a Timed Entry eTicket is issued
USJ warns that uninstalling the official app before using a Timed Entry eTicket invalidates that ticket. The issued time, number of tickets and selected area also cannot be changed, and the eTicket cannot be transferred or resold.
