A first lunch at Usagiya, with rabbits on the tableware
Haruru’s first lunch at Usagiya brought plenty of small dishes and a meal she thoroughly enjoyed. Rabbits appeared on the tableware and in the shop’s decorations, adding another detail to remember from the visit.

A small shop, with rabbits at the table
On that visit, Haruru found a small shop with a counter and one table for four. She chose the ladies’ lunch, and had a peach-vinegar drink before the meal.
The rabbit theme carried through the tableware and the shop’s decorations. Her table photograph shows a rabbit on the tea cup and small dish, with white rabbit details on the chopsticks as well.
Plenty of small dishes to begin the lunch
The plentiful small appetiser dishes were one of the pleasures of the lunch. Her photograph shows five different dishes on a dark tray.
A glass salad bowl sits beside black, white and pink bowls and a small fish dish. The variety of food and dishes made this part of the meal enjoyable too.
Seafood and a fish dish from the meal
The food photographs include a bowl topped with seafood, with a prawn, pieces of octopus, other seafood and green onion among the colourful arrangement.
A separate green plate holds a fish portion with a slice of citrus and a white accompaniment. Haruru also recalled crab miso soup, and wrote that everything was delicious.
Coffee, dessert and one more rabbit detail
The lunch included coffee and dessert. Her photograph keeps the cup, a small dessert bowl and a wooden spoon together on the table.
There is a rabbit-shaped sweet beside the coffee too. The rabbits stayed part of the meal right through to the end, along with her happy impression of the food.
