Choosing seafood at Toyosu Market and enjoying it afterwards

An acquaintance took Haruru to Toyosu Market, where she found plenty she wanted to buy. She settled on uni, rock oysters, chūtoro tuna and sujiko roe, then enjoyed the seafood after the shopping.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

A market visit with an acquaintance

Faced with many shops and so much seafood, Haruru wanted to buy all sorts of things. That was how she remembered the visit to Toyosu Market with an acquaintance.

Narrowing the choices to her favourites

She narrowed down what to buy rather than choosing everything that caught her eye. Her purchases were uni and rock oysters she loved, along with fresh bluefin chūtoro and sujiko. Deciding what she wanted to eat was part of the pleasure of the shopping.

Generous uni, and oysters worth the effort

Haruru enjoyed the uni generously piled onto a rice bowl. She found it delicious and felt happy to have so much of something she loved.

Opening the rock oysters took effort, but the first bite delighted her and made the work feel worthwhile. She ended by hoping to be taken along again sometime.
