A last Shenzhen dinner, then breakfast before leaving
For her last dinner in Shenzhen, Haruru enjoyed skewers, cold noodles and oysters. Her account remembers favourite flavours and desserts, then looks back on six days of eating before a final hotel breakfast and the journey ahead.

An eel skewer she especially enjoyed
Haruru went to a skewer restaurant for her last dinner in Shenzhen. Her account describes a grill that rotated the skewers automatically, with eel among the choices.
The eel was her favourite. She wrote that it was large and fatty, and that grilling let some of the fat drip away, leaving it just right for her taste.
Cold noodles and oysters with garlic
She especially enjoyed the cold noodles too. In her personal comparison, they came second among those she had tried, with Morioka reimen still perhaps her favourite.
She also ate oysters baked with garlic, something she had been enjoying during the trip. There was more to the meal than the skewers alone.
A mango dessert after dinner
Dessert followed, described in her account as combining mango sauce, tapioca, shiratama rice-flour dumplings and soft-serve ice cream. The list was becoming complicated to describe, but she knew she had enjoyed it.
A bookshop and a macaron memory
At a photogenic bookshop, Haruru felt that many people were taking pictures. She added that, despite noticing this, she had not bought a book herself either.
The account also includes a birthday celebrated with macarons. Haruru ate the Shine Muscat one and enjoyed its cream as well.
A final breakfast before setting off for Macau
Haruru felt that she had spent much of her six days in Shenzhen eating. Foods from places her travelling companion had enjoyed were fitted into that short stay.
This was also the last of the hotel breakfast buffets she had enjoyed each morning. With a boat journey ahead, she ate a little less. Her Shenzhen account closes before setting off by ferry for Macau.
