Drinks, hotpot and a sauce mixed to taste in Shenzhen
Before lunch in Shenzhen, Haruru picked drinks made with Shine Muscat grapes and white peach. The hotpot meal that followed brought a chance to mix her own sauce and encounter a different meal routine.

Fruit drinks before lunch
Haruru noticed drink shops dotted around Shenzhen. That day she chose a smoothie-like Shine Muscat drink and a smoothie with plenty of white-peach fruit, finding both tasty and reasonably priced.
After hearing that she could bring drinks along on this occasion, she took them with her to the restaurant for a hotpot lunch.
Beef and lamb with a sauce of her own
She also encountered a routine of rinsing the tableware with tea and followed it that day. The unfamiliar start to the meal became another detail in her travel account.
The meats she chose from the menu were beef and lamb. Using sesame oil and sesame sauce, she added other ingredients to make a dipping sauce to her own taste. Coriander gave the meal a different flavour from the shabu-shabu it reminded her of.
A sweet finish to lunch
Lunch ended with a dessert she described as fried mochi filled with kuromitsu syrup. It was a sweet finish after the hotpot and her own dipping sauce.
She closed the lunch account with a plan to have Chinese food again that evening.
