A second day in Seoul, from porridge to Myeongdong stalls and shaved ice

The second day began with porridge at a place recommended at the hotel. Shopping in Myeongdong, dakhanmari, food stalls and azuki shaved ice followed in Haruru's account of the day's meals.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Porridge and changja for breakfast

At a place recommended by someone at the hotel, she enjoyed porridge varieties with beef and vegetables, oysters and matsutake, and crab. She found them all delicious and especially liked mixing in the changja served alongside them.

Dakhanmari after shopping

After shopping in Myeongdong, she put down her bags and went out for dakhanmari. Her honest impression was that it reminded her of a simple mizutaki chicken hotpot, rather than the meal she had expected.

Small tastes at the Myeongdong stalls

She then returned to the Myeongdong stalls. She enjoyed trying small amounts of different foods, including oden, dumplings, karaage and watermelon.

Azuki shaved ice to finish

The final stop was the café beside the hotel, where she had azuki shaved ice. After a day of different foods, she felt thoroughly full and wrote that she slept soundly before the next day.
