Recent noodle meals, and changing preferences

From wonton noodles at a new place to a return to Jimantei, Haruru looked back on recent noodle meals and her honest impressions. At the time, she felt more drawn to lighter flavours than rich ones.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Wonton noodles at a place she tried for the first time

At a place she visited for the first time, Haruru had wonton noodles with thin noodles. She found the soy-sauce flavour light but still full of depth.

She felt that this was closer to what she wanted at the time than something very rich, noticing a shift in her own preferences.

Still wanting to return to Jimantei

At Jimantei after a while, Haruru had moyashi soba with a thickened sauce and her usual soft yakisoba.

The flavour felt a little mild to her that day. Even so, she still wanted to come back.

When another visit feels different

In her note about Hakata-style ramen, after a previous white bowl, Haruru singled out the black option as her recommendation. The fried rice she had praised before felt a little too wet to her on this occasion and did not bring the same excitement.

A bowl at Tantanmen Honpo also fell short of what she had hoped for that time. She wanted to keep trying new places in search of a bowl that would make her eager to return.
