A last dinner in Macau and reflections on the flight home

The last dinner of Haruru’s trip was Portuguese food in Macau, a meal she found comforting and well suited to her tastes. Her account continues with the next morning’s journey to the airport, writing on the flight home and gratitude for the help behind seven nights and eight days away.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Portuguese food for the last dinner

The Portuguese meal in Macau suited Haruru and her companions very well. She described it as feeling like simple home cooking.

After several rich meals, including Chinese food, she appreciated how gentle this one felt to eat. She had not expected Portuguese food to be the final dinner of the trip.

To the airport, then writing on the flight home

The next morning, Haruru got ready in a hurry and changed buses on her way to Hong Kong International Airport. Her airport meal was McDonald’s, which she found unexpectedly enjoyable. This time, she deliberately did not take a photograph.

Once she reached the departure gate, all that remained was boarding. She wrote this account while drafting her travel memories on the flight, with the intention of posting them after reaching Haneda.

Grateful for the help behind eight days away

Looking back on seven nights and eight days away, Haruru wrote about her gratitude to the people who helped prepare the trip. Documents, appointments, schedules and a travel booklet had been arranged for her. She felt she could not have made it happen on her own.

The care put into choosing places to eat and planning the journey made it a deeply satisfying trip. She ended her account wanting to offer some hospitality in return once back in Japan.
