A stop at Jimantei, a kind welcome and the soft yakisoba she wanted

Haruru got off the train especially for Jimantei's soft yakisoba. The closed-for-preparation sign was a disappointment, but someone at the restaurant remembered her, and she was fortunate to be welcomed that day. The meal stayed in her memory alongside the kindness.

A kind welcome after seeing the sign

Haruru had arrived excited to eat there after a while, only to find the preparation sign. When she explained that she had got off the train especially for the meal, someone at the restaurant remembered her.

She was fortunate to be welcomed on that occasion. The conversation continued inside, and she was happy to feel treated like a familiar customer.

The yakisoba she had come for, and a takeaway order

With good weather and feeling cheerful, Haruru enjoyed bottled beer and something to eat at lunchtime, followed by the soft yakisoba she had come for.

She also ordered takeaway because she wanted a friend back home to try it. Afterwards, she was on the train feeling a little tipsy.

Gratitude on the train home

On the way home, Haruru reflected on how support from different people had helped her become who she was.

She felt grateful and wanted to be able to give something back. The kind welcome at the restaurant became part of a wider moment of appreciation.
