Back at Jimantei after six months, for yakisoba
I had wanted to return to Jimantei in Musashi-Shinjo for some time. After six months away, I finally went back and ordered yakisoba without hesitation.
From haruru.1002’s past accounts.
At Jimantei, yakisoba was the clear choice
On my return after six months, I ordered yakisoba without hesitation. It was not something I usually chose at other Chinese restaurants, but here it was a dish I always wanted.
The first bite made me want to say how delicious it was. The flavour was difficult to put into words, and I thought the spicy miso mixed with the noodles might be part of what made it special.
Different reactions to the moyashi soba and gyoza
I also enjoyed the moyashi soba. To me, it felt like traditional Chinese-style noodle soup with a soy-sauce-flavoured thick topping.
The gyoza was less satisfying to me, and I compared it with familiar frozen gyoza. My enthusiasm for the yakisoba stood out beside my more mixed response to the other dishes.
