Beppu hells, a sand bath and a quiet stay

Haruru toured the hells at Beppu Onsen and entered a sand bath after a short wait. At her lodging, she enjoyed a leisurely meal and baths before dinner, before bed and in the morning. The account remembers time to relax during both the sightseeing and the stay.

Different colours in the hells photographs

Looking back on her tour of the hells at Beppu Onsen, Haruru wrote that they were quiet during her visit.

One photograph shows a sign for Umi Jigoku beside blue-green water and white steam. Another has a marker for Chinoike Jigoku and red-orange water. The two views preserve different colours in the scenery.

A sand bath after a short wait

She was also able to enter a sand bath after only a short wait. Experiencing it, as well as seeing the hells, became part of her Beppu memories.

Time for the meal and the baths

Haruru wrote that the lodging was quiet too, so she could enjoy the meal at an easy pace. There were three baths, and on that occasion she had each to herself.

She bathed before dinner, before bed and again in the morning. The record recalls enjoying the stay as well as the sightseeing.

A bath-area photograph shows a wooden tub, a stone-lined pool, bamboo-like screening and a wet floor. It also preserves an unoccupied view of the bathing area.

Dishes and presentation in the food photographs

The food photographs include a table with several dishes and closer views of individual servings. They leave room to notice smaller dishes and accompaniments as well as the larger plates.
