An Atami trip with a friend, beginning with a familiar lunch in Atsugi

Haruru and her friend finally managed to get away together for an Atami hot-spring trip. Lunch came earlier in the journey than planned, at a restaurant she was pleased to return to after a year and a half.

Changing lunch plans on the way to Atami

They had intended to have lunch in Atami. When they were running later than planned, they stopped along the way in Atsugi instead.

The choice was DA★BUTCHERS, a restaurant Haruru had visited from time to time in the past. This was her first return in a year and a half. A familiar place became the opening stop for their long-awaited trip.

A return lunch that her friend enjoyed too

They had the lunch course. Haruru liked the restaurant’s atmosphere, and her friend was pleased with it too.

The meal photographs include salad, soup, roast beef with an egg yolk and fries, and dessert. Rather than travelling straight through, they had time for a meal at a place Haruru already knew.

Following the coast to Pension Prince

After lunch they drove along the coast and arrived safely at Pension Prince. Its white walls, dark timber framing and entrance steps appear in her photograph of the arrival.

She had also photographed the snacks prepared for their evening get-together. Before dinner, they went for a hot-spring soak. The trip they had been trying to arrange was finally underway.
