Two days in Atagawa with her sister, from sunrise to a view of Mount Fuji
There was time to slow down on a one-night trip to Atagawa Onsen with her older sister. In warm, clear weather, Haruru enjoyed the sea, watched the sunrise and found small sights to photograph along the way.

A one-night break in Atagawa
Haruru and her older sister travelled together for a one-night, two-day stay in Atagawa Onsen. She described it as a relaxed break, with good weather and warmth that made it a lovely time to be out.
The sea fills much of the photographic record: light on the water, waves against rocks and a distant island outline. Near the end of autumn, it was still a day she found comfortably warm.
Watching the sunrise and visiting Jogasaki Coast
They watched the sunrise and also went to Jogasaki Coast. The orange morning light over the water and the rocky coast became two different memories of the sea.
For Haruru, the visit renewed a simple feeling: how much she liked being by the sea.
Pink flowers, mandarin trees and Fuji on the way home
Her photographs also pause on smaller sights: little pink flowers beside a wall and orange fruit on mandarin trees beneath a blue sky.
On the way home they crossed a mountain pass and were able to see Mount Fuji. She ended the account thinking about how close winter was, with only a little over a month of the year left.
