A lunch-labelled plate and a pale-yellow dish

A photograph labelled “lunch” shows a large plate with rice, vegetables of different shapes and colours, leaves and a flower. Another plate has a pale-yellow dish in the centre, brown sauce, and leaves and a flower behind it.

In her account of the day out, Haruru recalls buying vegetables after breakfast and then having a substantial lunch. The two kinds of plate preserve their own colours and arrangements.
