A generous villa breakfast, then karaoke back home

Haruru made gnocchi for the first time for breakfast at the villa. With toast too, the meal was generous enough to put off the planned lunch until another visit. After a comfortable stay, the six of them carried on enjoying themselves with karaoke back home.

First-time gnocchi in Gorgonzola soup

A Gorgonzola potato salad Haruru had enjoyed at lunch inspired the breakfast. She made gnocchi for the first time and served it in Gorgonzola soup.

She thought it was lovely for someone who liked Gorgonzola, though it might be harder going for anyone who did not. For something made rather casually, she felt it had turned out quite well.

Toast too, and lunch left for another visit

She had intended to make the whitebait and spring-onion garlic toast carefully, one slice at a time. Gradually, that felt like too much work. The whitebait that spilled became crisp, which she enjoyed in its own way.

They had planned to go out for lunch on Sunday as well, but breakfast left everyone too full. They decided to leave that meal for the next visit.

A comfortable stay, with belongings still in the photographs

Haruru found the villa wonderfully comfortable. They said they should have photographed it before putting down their belongings, but had no energy to tidy everything away. She took the pictures as it was.

Although the photographs were not perfectly arranged, she felt the place was well cleaned and had nothing to complain about. They also talked about planning more for the following year, perhaps including a nearby hot spring.

Leaving in the morning, then singing back home

They left in the morning to avoid traffic and reached their local area in a little over two hours. Then the six of them went to karaoke.

Singing familiar old songs felt like travelling back in time together. Plenty of singing and laughter brought the outing to a happy close, with the hope that they would all meet again in good health.
