Two daytime stops in Shinbashi, from sashimi to grilled dishes

On a hot day off, Haruru went to Shinbashi for a daytime outing. Sashimi and lemon sours at the first stop were followed by the grilled dishes that had drawn her to a second restaurant.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Sashimi and two different lemon sours

The first stop was Toromasa. The assortment that arrived in a large container turned out to be a sashimi otoshi, or starter. Haruru found every item delicious, and also recorded seared shime-saba, a three-kind basashi (horse sashimi) assortment and ume-suisho made with Nanko ume.

Her yogurt lemon sour tasted as she had imagined, and she liked it. Her friend found both the matcha and lemon flavours too strong in the matcha lemon sour. Choosing different drinks gave them quite different impressions.

Grilled dishes at the second stop

For the next stop, she looked for grilled dishes and chose a restaurant after noticing grilled liver on its menu. She later described that choice as a great success.

Her account praises the horse-liver sashimi and grilled liver, chire and heart. She finished with white Hoppy, recording the food and drink as part of her enjoyment of that particular visit.

Shopping and a meal instead of a third stop

They had planned to visit a third restaurant, but a break and some shopping changed the course of the outing. They ended with a meal instead.

Haruru remembered it as a fun day and wondered where to go for a daytime outing next. The account remains a record of the two restaurants they visited on that day.
