Five nights and six days in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau brought Haruru plenty of food, walking, laughter and moments that moved her. Looking back, she expressed gratitude to her daughter and her husband for the journey.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Food, walking and laughter

Over five nights and six days, Haruru ate plenty—enough to feel she had eaten too much. She also wrote of plenty of walking, laughter and moments that moved her.

Her reflection brings those memories together with gratitude to her daughter and her husband.

Words alongside the night views

One night-view photograph has words describing the view from a hotel room. Another says that the real view was even more beautiful. The pictures show an illuminated tower and surrounding buildings.

Egg tarts remembered as delicious

A photograph of egg tarts arranged in a box has words saying they were delicious in Macau. Their yellow centres and browned surfaces appear beside that short memory of enjoying them.

Japanese food, and a memory of sashimi

Another meal photograph has words saying it had been a while since Japanese food. Rice, fish dishes and a soup bowl are visible.

A closer photograph of sashimi carries a comment about how delicious it was. Those brief words preserve a feeling of enjoyment alongside the food.

Thanks to the family who planned the journey

Haruru’s travel reflection returns to gratitude for her daughter and her husband, and ends with thanks to family.

Plenty of food, walking, laughter and moving moments made a journey she remembered with gratitude.
