Recent lunches: eating well during a one-hour break
A one-hour break still left room for a satisfying lunch. Haruru’s brief roundup sits alongside photographs of a bento, rice bowls, curry and sushi, each with short notes about the food.

Lunch within a short break
Looking back on her recent lunches, Haruru wrote that she was eating well even during a one-hour break.
The photographs collect a variety of dishes. Notes about something delicious, a dish enjoyed after a long interval or a regular order give each food its own place in the collection.
A bento and set-meal notes
An oval lunch box holds rice and colourful foods in the photograph labelled as a bento after some time. Round red and yellow pieces catch the eye.
The photograph labelled as a skirt-steak and beef-tongue set meal shows rice, soup and small dishes on a tray. A separate large-plate photograph is annotated with a note about a little indulgence.
The image labelled fried chicken with grated topping has a pale, grated-looking topping. Its note favours chicken nanban, adding a comparison to the collection.
Mackerel and tuna rice bowls
The photographs labelled as raw-mackerel rice bowls show slices, green leaves and a yellow topping. One takes in the surrounding tableware; another moves close to the bowl, with a note about its appealing taste.
Diced pieces stand out in the image labelled as a chunky tuna rice bowl. Its note says that both the mackerel and the tuna are delicious.
Curry and noodle bowls
The image labelled as bone-in chicken curry shows a red-orange dish and a large, thin bread-like piece. A separate chicken-curry photograph mentions five kinds of vegetables and calls it spicy and delicious.
The sanratan photograph moves close to red-orange soup and green rings at its centre. Its note says it had been a while since eating it and that it tasted good. Other photographs include a filled bowl and one labelled red ramen.
A sandwich, xiaolongbao and a Kukuru plate
In the photograph labelled Subway, a paper cup, sandwich and smaller foods in paper packaging sit on a green tray.
Four xiaolongbao in a bamboo steamer are annotated as full of meat juice. In another photograph, Kukuru’s octopus-shaped packaging sits beside round foods topped with thin flakes and white sauce, with a note about their delicious taste.
Short notes beside the sushi
A photograph marked Hama Sushi and first plate carries a simple note that it is delicious. The image labelled fatty bincho tuna says it was enjoyable enough for two plates.
The red-shrimp image also calls it delicious, while the tuna-roll photograph says it is always ordered. These brief notes preserve a few favourites from the collection.
