A night at PineWood, from city lights to sunrise

I spent a relaxed night and two days camping at PineWood in Yamanashi. There was clear weather by day, a beautiful night view, a campfire and sunrise the following morning.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

An old building and a space filled with objects

The first photograph shows the management building that was no longer in use at the time. PINE WOOD lettering appears on a wooden wall, with branches and vines crossing in front.

I understood that the owner collected American-style objects from secondhand shops, and I enjoyed the space. The photographs show signs, lanterns, pots, chairs and barrel-shaped objects gathered together.

The daytime view and city lights after dark

The daytime weather was clear, and I loved the view. The daylight photograph shows blue sky, a long mountain ridge and a town spread out below.

The night view was beautiful too, and I was able to have a campfire. The city lights in the photograph keep a different view from the one in daylight.

Sunrise the following morning

I was able to watch the sunrise the following morning. The photographs show a bright sun near the mountain ridge, with clouds lit in gold.

The changing views through the day, night and next morning were part of a one-night, two-day stay that felt unhurried.

Taking more care with water

During this stay, the water supplied at the taps had been brought in, so I felt I needed to use it carefully.

It made me reflect on leaving the tap running in everyday life. Alongside the scenery, thinking more carefully about water became part of the camping memory.
