An Oshiage stop, a Shibamata New Year visit and a changed evening plan

Haruru stopped at Oshiage to see the Skytree before visiting Shibamata Taishakuten for New Year prayers. The plan for drinks afterwards changed, but a familiar restaurant brought food to enjoy.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

A stop to see the Skytree while changing trains

Changing trains at Oshiage gave her a reason to stop and see the Skytree. She wrote that it was so close that she could not fit it into the photograph.

A New Year visit to Shibamata Taishakuten

Shibamata Taishakuten was crowded, with a long queue for fortune slips. Her slip was kichi, a good fortune.

The Tateishi plan changed

She had planned drinks in Tateishi, but closures that day changed the plan. She went to her usual place for a toast instead and found it full too.

Trying dishes she did not usually order

She tried dishes she did not usually order. The unphotographed shirokoro horumon was especially delicious and made her want to order it again. Beef menchi, homemade marinated firefly squid, cheese spring-roll skewers, a Sanuki green-onion salad, hatsumoto, tsukune and chicken skin also appear in her account.
