An Ogawa market lunch and a restful day at Kawara no Yu

A farm-market stop brought Haruru handmade udon and a few purchases before her hot-spring visit. At Kawara no Yu, she took her time in the baths and paused for shaved ice.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Handmade udon at the market

On her way to the hot spring in Ogawa, she stopped at the JA Saitama Chuo Ogawa farm-produce market. She enjoyed the visit and ate handmade udon there for lunch.

Some parts of the noodles were particularly flat, and she enjoyed those too. Even that detail of the bowl stayed in her account.

Food purchases and a ceramic Jizo

She bought vegetables, eggs, bread and handmade manju, as well as a handmade ceramic Jizo figure. Her comment about tending to buy Jizo figures whenever she found them adds a personal detail to the shopping stop.

Taking six hours to unwind at Kawara no Yu

Ogawa Onsen Kawara no Yu was not very crowded during her visit. She spent about six hours taking her time, including ganbanyoku and a carbonated bath.

Alternating time in the baths with breaks left her feeling thoroughly relaxed.

A shaved-ice break between baths

During her time at the hot spring, she ate shaved ice and then returned to the baths. From market shopping and lunch to bathing, it was a day she could enjoy without rushing.
