A first meal at おばぁや, looking forward to Okinawa

On her first visit to おばぁや, Haruru enjoyed island shallots, fu champuru, purple sweet-potato croquettes and more. With a trip to Okinawa and its islands planned for the following week, her thoughts were already on the journey.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

A first visit and a satisfying meal

This was her first visit to the Okinawan restaurant おばぁや. She enjoyed all the dishes she tried.

She even wondered whether she liked the food more than meals she had eaten in Okinawa. That was her own impression of a satisfying visit.

Remembering the dishes she enjoyed

Her note lists island shallots, fu champuru, purple sweet-potato croquettes, taco salad, mozuku tempura, rafuti, and Spam with an egg dish.

She also enjoyed jushi rice balls and taco rice. It was a meal with a variety of Okinawan dishes.

Looking forward to seven nights away

At the time, she was planning a seven-night, eight-day trip to Okinawa and its islands, starting the following Saturday. Even before setting off, her thoughts were already there.

She was checking the forecasts for Okinawa and Ishigaki, too. Her meal note also captures her excitement about the trip ahead.
