A day out with two friends, a leisurely meal and Seoto no Yu

Haruru planned a nearby outing for herself and two friends, hoping it would feel like a little trip. A leisurely meal, a stroll and time at Seoto no Yu filled a day that continued with conversation late into the evening.

A third visit that still felt special

It was Haruru’s third visit, and she was pleased that both friends enjoyed it. She was delighted again by the scenery, atmosphere and character of the place, as well as the welcome from the staff.

She enjoyed the food’s presentation, flavour and generous amount. Taking about two hours over the meal made it a particularly leisurely occasion.

Apple cider for the driver

As she was driving, Haruru ordered apple cider. It arrived as “children’s beer” in a retro bottle resembling a beer bottle. It foamed when poured, giving her the feeling of enjoying a drink.

The staff offered access to the deck, but the heat kept her inside. She did not step out there during the meal.

A stroll and matching wooden pendants

After the meal, they went for a stroll. The three bought matching wooden pendants as keepsakes and put them on straight away.

On to Seoto no Yu before it became busy

They headed to Seoto no Yu before the hot spring became busy. There were few people during their visit, so Haruru was glad they could take their time.

She even had a nap on the terrace. Before leaving, they also enjoyed the foot bath.

An evening together, and an overnight trip still to plan

In the evening they had conveyor-belt sushi, then the two friends visited Haruru’s house. She also recorded baking a pound cake for them to take home, although she forgot to photograph it.

They talked until almost midnight before saying goodbye. After such an enjoyable day, Haruru was looking forward to planning an overnight trip next time.
