A first Mount Mitake trek, autumn scenery and a rice-ball lunch

Haruru.1002 was unsure how her first trek at Mount Mitake would go. She finished the walk, loved the scenery and came away wanting to visit more mountains. An outdoor rice-ball lunch was part of the enjoyment.

A busy arrival in the autumn colours

She described visiting Mount Mitake in Ome when the autumn colours looked at their best to her. Many people were there, and she reported waiting about an hour for parking on that occasion.

Finishing the walk made her want to go again

She had wondered how her first trek would turn out, but managed to keep going and complete it. The scenery impressed her enough to make her want to try more mountains.

Her photograph from the walking post shows a woodland stream among rocks and fallen leaves. It is a quiet scene from that outing.

One big rice ball tasted especially good outside

For lunch, she had brought one large rice ball with thick omelette and Spam. Eating it outdoors made it taste especially good to her.

The account ends with enthusiasm for future outings after this first trek. The crowded arrival, finishing the walk, the scenery and lunch all belong to her experience of that day.

A watch for new adventures

A friend gave Haruru a PRO TREK watch to mark her start in solo camping and trekking. She wrote that she wanted to take it along as her companion on future outings.
