A long-grown mandarin tree and that year's fruit

There were fewer fruit than the number of flowers had suggested, but the mandarin tree still produced a harvest that year. The flavour was rich and delicious, making me remember it as a little sapling.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Fewer fruit, but still a welcome crop

Although the crop was smaller than the flowers had led me to expect, it bore about two hundred fruit. Some were large, and I found the flavour rich and delicious.

Fruit still on the tree

With fruit still on the tree, I looked forward to perhaps having enough for New Year without buying more.

Remembering a sapling bought on a New Year visit

It had been about twenty years since I bought the sapling on a New Year shrine visit. I was pleased that the tree was still growing and producing fruit.
