Autumn colours at Lake Kawaguchiko and a retro overnight stay
A sunny Sunday brought autumn leaves, blue sky and clouds to Haruru's overnight trip to Lake Kawaguchiko. The scenery and her hotel's retro atmosphere both stayed in her memory.

Autumn leaves beneath a Sunday sky
Haruru recalled an overnight trip to Lake Kawaguchiko. Sunday was sunny, and she especially enjoyed the autumn leaves against the blue sky and clouds.
The photographic record includes red and orange trees beside water, yellow leaves and fallen foliage, and closer views of leaves on branches. Autumn appears in both the broad scenery and the smaller details.
A hotel atmosphere that recalled the Showa era
She described the hotel where she stayed as more than sixty years old at the time. She liked its retro atmosphere and the feeling of the Showa era.
A building photograph shows the words “河口湖ホテル,” with white walls, dark timber framing, stone columns and a wooden balcony. Her memories of the stay and the building's appearance in the photograph each add something to the record.
