A friend visiting Tokyo for work joined Haruru for the three friends' first drinks outing together. They chose Chikuzenya in Kamata, which Haruru had enjoyed before. Old stories filled the evening, followed by an hour of karaoke before going home.

Choosing a place she had enjoyed before
Haruru had planned to find a new place in Kamata where they could eat well without spending too much. Then she remembered enjoying Chikuzenya around New Year and chose to return there.
She was pleased that her friends liked it too, and felt happy with the choice.
Time passed quickly over old stories
Over drinks, the three friends got caught up in stories from the past. Before they knew it, it should already have been time to head home.
One more hour with familiar songs
Before leaving, they spent one hour at karaoke. Familiar songs kept the mood going and brought the outing to a happy close.
Haruru found herself thinking about how the past had shaped the present, and wanting to make the most of the time ahead.
