From a New Year shrine visit to three food stops in Noge
A New Year visit to Iseyama Kōtai Jingū was followed by an evening of food in Noge. Haruru liked all three stops, though by the end there was no room left for a bowl of ramen.

Another New Year shrine visit
For her second hatsumōde outing that New Year, Haruru went to Iseyama Kōtai Jingū (伊勢山皇大神宮) in Yokohama. She noted that entry was still being controlled later that day, even on the fourth day of the month.
Her photograph shows rows of glowing lanterns around the grounds, with the shrine’s name on a nearby notice. This was the shrine visit that began the outing.
An ume sour and motsu dishes in Noge
Afterwards, she moved on to Noge and started with a toast over a crunchy ume plum sour. The drink photograph shows red plums crowded into a glass.
At that first stop, she had motsuyaki, salt-seasoned motsu stew, gatsu sashimi and senmai sashimi. The food photographs include grilled skewers, a bowl topped with sliced spring onions and plates of motsu.
Two more stops, with no room for ramen
The second stop was a stylish Italian restaurant. The third was somewhere serving dishes such as basashi, horse sashimi. Later food photographs include bread, pasta and a board of cooked meat and vegetables.
Haruru felt all three stops had been good choices and wanted to return. By then, she was too full to have the ramen she might otherwise have finished with.
