Haruru particularly loved the burgers her daughter made from the buns. The patties combined minced beef with small pieces of beef, without a binder, and she enjoyed their meaty character.
The sauce and nuggets were homemade too. Haruru felt impressed by what her daughter had prepared for the celebration.
Pumpkin pies and a milk dessert that did not set
The fruit-filled milk kanten Haruru made did not set properly. It still tasted good, so it went onto the table too.
She also made pumpkin pies with a pumpkin she had bought in Yamanashi and enjoyed. Those felt like a success to her.
An everyday side dish added to the generous table
There was also a stir-fry of egg, minced meat and fresh wood ear mushrooms. Haruru enjoyed it, but described it as an everyday side dish rather than a special birthday dish.
