Seafood, jingisukan and night views on day three in Hokkaido
On the third day of her Hokkaido trip, Haruru had a seafood rice bowl and mantis shrimp sashimi. The evening brought a jingisukan tasting set, the clock tower and TV tower, and a memorable view of the city lights.
From haruru.1002’s past accounts.
A seafood rice bowl and mantis shrimp on the side
For lunch, she chose a seafood rice bowl and ordered mantis shrimp sashimi separately. She had also wanted a sea urchin rice bowl, but decided against it after seeing the price that day.
The mantis shrimp tasted different from both prawns and crab. She particularly enjoyed it.
Four kinds of jingisukan for dinner
That evening, she ordered a tasting set with four kinds of jingisukan.
She found herself comparing it with jingisukan she had eaten at a beer garden, and thought she might have preferred the beer garden meal.
The clock tower, TV tower and city lights
The clock tower and TV tower after dark were also part of the evening.
The night view from the TV tower impressed her. Alongside the meals, the city lights became another highlight.
Looking towards the journey home
When she wrote this account, her three-night, four-day trip had reached its final day. She was sorry to see it end and was planning to head home on an afternoon flight.
