Looking ahead to a reunion in Hong Kong
The plan was a seven-night stay, with a meeting in Hong Kong before visiting her daughter’s family. Haruru was understandably nervous about travelling overseas on her own for the first time.
She had managed to check in successfully. At the point she wrote, the next step was simply to wait to board.
Arriving early and waiting for departure
Concerned that the expressway might be busy, she had set off early. Once there, she found that she still had two hours to spare.
It was a quiet moment before departure, with nervousness mixed with relief as she waited for the journey ahead.
