From yakitori in Ameyoko to sweets in Yurakucho

After a morning cafe stop, Haruru went to Ameyoko for yakitori and beer at Bunraku. The day continued with shopping in Ikebukuro, a short drink break and sweets in Yurakucho.

Yakitori and beer at Bunraku

Haruru wrote that Bunraku might be her favourite place for yakitori. On that hot day, the beer was another part of the outing she enjoyed.

Some of the dishes were not photographed, but she remembered the food as delicious. After eating, she left Ameyoko for Ikebukuro.

Bread shopping and a lemon drink

In Ikebukuro, she bought the bread she had wanted and stopped at PRONTO for a whole-lemon squash.

She then went to Yurakucho and browsed the regional shops in Kotsu Kaikan, picking up a few things along the way.

Warm ohagi and anmitsu at Okame

Okame’s sweets were the destination she had in mind. She described the freshly made ohagi as warm and delicious. She could not finish two and had them packed to take away.

She enjoyed the Zao anmitsu too, while leaving the Zao shaved ice for another visit. Looking back on the early start, she described the day as full and enjoyable.
