A final day in Fukuoka: Ooyama lunch and Umegae mochi

On the final day, a taxi driver's recommendation took Haruru to Ooyama for lunch. After enjoying miso-flavoured motsunabe, she bought the Umegae mochi she had been asked to bring back from Dazaifu. It was the closing chapter of a trip spent enjoying food and hot springs in Fukuoka and Oita.

A recommended motsunabe lunch

For lunch on the final day, Haruru chose Ooyama, the motsunabe restaurant recommended by her taxi driver. She wrote that she particularly enjoyed the miso flavour.

She finished the meal with noodles. The restaurant was quiet on that occasion, another detail she remembered alongside the miso-flavoured pot.

Smaller views of the table

The food photographs include two dishes together on the table and closer views of individual servings. Alongside the larger pot, they retain smaller views of dishes and presentation.

Umegae mochi shopping with little time in Dazaifu

There was little time left at Dazaifu Tenmangu. Haruru recalled visiting several shops to buy the Umegae mochi she had been asked to bring back, and that was the extent of the stop.

She noticed a considerable difference in the queues at popular shops. When she compared the tastes, however, she felt there was not much difference.

Two nights of food and hot-spring memories

Over two nights and three days in Fukuoka and Oita, Haruru enjoyed plenty of good food and time to relax in hot springs. Including the final day's lunch and shopping, she looked back on a happy trip.
