A meal at Benkei in Fuchinobe that made me want to return

On my first visit to Benkei in Fuchinobe, I enjoyed several dishes and particularly liked the apple-vinegar sour. It made me want to go back.

From haruru.1002’s past accounts.

Beef tongue, bonito and other dishes

The meal included horse-meat yukhoe, ume suisho, stewed and thick-cut grilled beef tongue, seared beef liver with plenty of spring onion, straw-seared bonito, and small edamame-and-corn fritters. I found everything delicious and also remembered seeing the bonito being cooked there.

An apple-vinegar sour I particularly liked

There were sours such as buntan citrus and apple vinegar, and the apple-vinegar one became my favourite. Enjoying the food and drinks left me hoping for another visit.
