When Haruru returned to a restaurant she had been curious about, it was open. She tried drinking there alone for the first time, with generous platters and an unfamiliar seat at the counter.

Finding the restaurant open on her return
Curious about the restaurant, she returned and found it open. Since she was there, she decided to try having a drink on her own for the first time.
Generous platters for one
She ordered a grilled platter and a sashimi-style platter, and found the portions large for one person. She thought the familiar woman at the restaurant might have added a little extra.
Time to herself at an unfamiliar counter
She was invited to take her time, but drinking alone at the counter still felt unfamiliar.
The air conditioning was not keeping the place cool that day, and an hour was enough for her. Even so, she thought an occasional drink alone could be a good chance to think.
Finishing with rice and wakame soup
She finished with rice and wakame soup before heading home. Her first visit alone had also given her a glimpse of what she might enjoy about time to herself.
