Hamburger steak with rock salt
She had seen the steak praised on television, but on her first visit she preferred the hamburger steak. She felt that eating it with rock salt brought out the flavour of the meat.
The salad bar included with her lunch also made the meal feel like good value to her at the time.
Sashimi and karaage in the evening
In the evening, she ate at an izakaya. Sashimi and karaage were the dishes she singled out as especially delicious, giving her a different meal to remember alongside lunch.
