Haruru remembered three nights and four days with her daughters, eating plenty and shopping for accessories and cosmetics.

They went together to shops she would not normally visit alone. Hearing their recommendations made the shopping part of the enjoyment of spending time together.

Notes on the meal photographs

The storefront photograph has a sign reading Gifu Tanmen, Toyota branch, and a note saying that it is in Aichi. A candid comment about its appearance is followed by a note calling it delicious.

The close-up bowl photographs are labelled with the usual butter topping. A large pale rectangle sits near the front of the bowl, preserving a detail of the dish.

Fruit and chocolate naan in the snack photographs

The table labelled snack time holds watermelon, green and red-purple grapes, cut fruit and a round dish divided into pieces. The close-up photographs offer a closer look at the individual plates.

The round dish is labelled chocolate naan. Another photograph calls the watermelon the last of the year and says it was sweet. The pictures preserve the colours of the table and a few short impressions.

A decorated Shinkansen on the platform

The platform photographs show a Shinkansen decorated with Fantasy Springs and TOKYO DisneySEA logos and characters. One note says that the return journey was by Shinkansen.

Another photograph explicitly says that this was not the Shinkansen being taken, while expressing pleasure at seeing it. It records a welcome sighting, rather than a ride on the decorated train.

The same photograph thanks everyone for a fun three-night stay with plenty of eating. Alongside the author's writing about food and shopping, it offers a closing reflection on the time away.
