Seeing her gifted country dolls again after eleven years
On a return visit to an acquaintance’s restaurant, Haruru found that the country dolls she had given them were still on display. Her account remembers that happy reunion, a course meal and matcha cream anmitsu at Mingei.

The dolls were still there
It had been eleven years since her last visit. When she had been absorbed in making country dolls, she had run out of space at home and given some to the restaurant, hoping they could be displayed there.
Finding them still on display made her very happy. The visit reminded her how quickly time passes, and she was also looking forward to meeting a friend again later that month after a long gap.
A drink served with its bottle and a course meal
She chose a non-alcoholic beer that day. Having the bottle served alongside it made her feel comfortable with her choice.
The course meal left her full.
