Short names and notes on cooking photographs

Plant and food photographs carry the words “taranome and kogomi” and “taranome and kogomi tempura.” A pink bowl with rice and pale slices is labelled “bamboo-shoot rice.”

Baked-food photographs are labelled “chunky chocolate scones” and “tea scones,” while bagged sweets carry the word “gift.” Other photographs mention a sweet-potato and sweet black-bean pound cake and show pale-yellow mixture in baking containers.

A round base with small white fish-like pieces and green leaves is labelled “whitebait pizza.” A separate photograph says that the jalapeños were homemade too.

Photographs of pale slices and a glass jar are labelled “new ginger” and “sweet-vinegar pickled new ginger.” A bowl of white thick food with red-pink streaks carries words about mixing rhubarb jam into yogurt. The note gathers names and words from each separate photograph.
